Just in case you didn't know that LA was full of ObamaLove, here we have a weekly make-out fest to prove it. Lots of notables from the Angel Town creative scene have been showing up Monday after Monday for the last month to shout out their adoration for our next Prez.

Each of the comedians/writers/artists in the line up have their own way of giving a shout out to Obama. Brian Gallivan reads a letter to the audience, detailing how Obama came to see one of his Second City shows. Neil Pollack interviews his very young son about Obama and edits the kid's responses with a serious of funny (and photoshopped) stills. Amanda Sitko gives a deep, thought provoking monologue on why people vote, why she has voted in the past and why she will vote now. Eric Hunicutt does a spot-on impression of Levi Johnson, Sarah Palin's barely of age future S-I-L. His Obamalogue was probably the funniest and most popular of the evening. The last sketch of the show features David Park & Brendan McLouglin, in which Park plays the straight man to McLouglin's bewildering but sincere support for Obama.

I suppose it goes with out saying that the theme for the evening overall (as well as the theme of each monologue/sketch/video) is to vote. Specifically, to vote for Obama. I hear they had voter registration forms right there in the lobby at one time but, since we're past the deadline on that, stickers and t-shirts were all I saw.

In keeping with my seeming inability to get anything up on this blog until right before the show closes, I must now announce that there is only one more performance (and hey, they vary slightly every week anyway) - which will be the night before Election Tuesday. That's certain to be a good, and frenetic, one and my bet is it's worth the $10. So go ahead and make your reservation (you can call them or go to the website [check out my links!!]).
