This is a common feature in reviews of every sort, so I'm at a loss as to why you take issue with it.

Yes, "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" was in fact originally recorded by The Beatles, this is true. This was also over half a century ago. Much more recently (in 2002), Eddie Vedder recorded a cover of the song for the soundtrack of the movie "I Am Sam" and it became a big hit for him (it went to #1 on one chart). He routinely performs it in concert at his solo shows as well as with Pearl Jam. I didn't bother going into all of this backstory for a song that was merely played top-of-show because this isn't a blog about pop music.

I did misspell Willow Geer's name. That is my fault entirely and I have now corrected it. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

The thing I agree with you completely about is that this is MY blog. Saying what I wish is precisely why I have it. Many other people also have them for just such a purpose. I'm not sure why you have a problem with that - but I'm not sure why you have a problem with any of this.

I would have responded to your comment much earlier, but you wrote in long enough after the blog post went up that it was buried in my archive. I would have likely never noticed it at all if I weren't in the midst restructuring things.

What an unfortunately condescending and pompous st...

What an unfortunately condescending and pompous style you have developed. You say such ill-informed things in your reviews with as much confidence as though you were the lead critic for the New Yorker. Hamlet's lack of remorse for Guldenstern and Rosencrantz is part of his transformation in Act 5 (by the way there are five acts in a Shakespeare play, not three). It's actually part of the text. Perhaps you would you prefer this company to write extra lines to make Hamlet a nicer person?

While we are at it, Henry IV is widely regarded as a the most comedic for the history plays, how the hell else do you approach Falstaff??? Also, Willow Geer is probably one of the better known stage actresses in Los Angeles, you might want to spell her name correctly. And lastly, "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" is not by Eddie Vedder but by as small act from Liverpool... called The Beatles!!!

Some basic fact checking might be a good thing but I suppose when you are a self appointed blog reviewer you get to make up what ever you want and you don't have to answer to anyone.
